Pangle Aug 13, 2010 Donald E. Pangle, 76, of Etowah, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at Woods Memorial Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Etowah, he was a son of the late James and Sally Elliott Pangle. He was retired from Bowater Southern Paper Corporation after 25 years of service, and attended Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Pangle; one daughter, Darlene Pangle; and nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Mike Wilson of Etowah; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Jeana Pangle of Etowah; grandchildren, Angelina Shonk, Zachary Wilson and his wife, Megan, Shaun Wilson, Ben Wilson, Tricia Pangle, Alexander Pangle, Dianna Pangle and William Pangle; a special nephew, Mike Poteet; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Monday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Pierce and lay speaker Charles Rayburn officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Etowah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
